Someone who kills People

Someone who kills one person
is a murderer.
Someone who kills ten people
is touched by evil.
Someone who kills one hundred people
is unthinkably insane.
But, someone who kills a million people
is either a general or an IMF banker.

I have read her poem, Power, an emotionally powerful narrative poem about her rage over the acquittal of a white police officer who has shot and killed a ten-year-old Black boy in Queens, New York.

A white policeman who kills a black kid
is acting in self-defense and acquitted.
