Yes, he is good at convoying emotions out of simplicity, nostalgia and yearning for old friends.
In his statement in the introduction to Time Stops at Shamli and Other Stories – For It isn't time that's passing by, my friend; It is you and I” – gives a hint that timelessness does not mean “time stops,” as it does in Shamli, but that it is part of the eternal scheme of things, where the physical time is irreverent.
