I think so.
The New Colossus is written by the nineteenth-century American poet Emma Lazarus. Describing the Statue of Liberty, it appears on a plaque at the base of the statue. It ends with the statue herself speaking:
Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.
