The First Experience of Schooling

In the days when nursery schools were less common, a little boy was so excited about his first day of going to kindergarten because that would really be his first experience of schooling. His mother, excited as well, took good care to prepare him. For weeks beforehand they talked about the special clothes he would wear, the story circle he would sit in with other children, and the happy time for playing and singing.

The day before school officially started, his mother went to the school with him, took him to the classroom, where he would spend two precious years of learning with his peers.

Finally, the big day came. Upon hearing the honk of the school bus, he was so eager and ready, rushed into the bus, and forgot to say goodbye to his mother. Back home that afternoon, he could hardly stop talking about his day while his mother kept nodding her head with a big smile.

The next morning, his mother woke him, and said “It’s time for school.”

He stared at her in a cheerful mood, “Does it happen again?”

Pausing for a moment with tears welling up the edges of her eyes, his mother replied, “Yes, you’ll have another happy day in the school.”

My mom told me a lot of lovely stories about me, but I could not remember any, only a few reflection of some punishment on me.

I remember my parents teased me I was picked up from the side of road. and I believed it. once I left home with the thoughts of not belonging to them...
Even later they told me all were jokes, but still it hurt.

I love my parents and they make a happy life together. I am glad and happy for them.

But I decide I never make this kind of jokes to my son, I always say no matter what happens, I always love him.

It is interesting when I look back on my life experience. I would like to write on it later by novel form.

Once chatted with an old friend, I proudly found I had saved at least 6 persons' life. Some become my good friends, others I lost contact.
