I saw his face on internet
a teacher, a grandpa
a holocaust survivor
died Monday morning
on the land of freedom

I hate myself
being numbed at
death toll in Iraq
bomb threat on campus
and school rampage

Yet my heart hurt
when I read his name
that I could not even write
pronounce and remember
For this hero I cried
