先飞到卡尔加里（七月10日)，因为儿子打球，所以在体育馆看了三天. july 14, Jason had no games. So we went to Stampede Park. That day was kids' day. It was free. So we saved 30$. The event was like CNE. A lot of rides and shows. We watched Horse Riding show and Live band show. They reflected western style. Very interesting and good. Each half hour.
We had free pan-cake and soft drinks too.

We had friends who lived in Calgary. Since we stayed in dorm of Sait (A college), there was a kitchen in each unit. The unit fee was expensive (600 $ for 5 days) but it was close to the GYM, so we decided to fully use it.
The second day (July 11) we asked friends to drive us to buy some food and borrowed pot and fire pan to cook breakfast and sometimes dinner. There were fast food such as SUBWAY and Abys not far, but after two days, my son didn’t want them anymore. So cooking seemed a good choice.
I guess I should mention the weather. It changed very quick. One day sunny, another day cloudy and chilly. July 12, there was hail (Icy rain). The good thing was mainly we stayed in GYM, so it didn’t bother us. When I heard some huge noise, I thought of construction of the working field. Then I saw many kids rushing to the gate. I followed. On the ground, there were pieces of pieces of ice. First, I never thought of ice. I wondered what they were. Then I recognized that they were hails. My God, imagining if we were outside, it hurt.

The first night, the dorm was very hot since it faced the west. The window could only open a little. There was no air condition. So we didn’t sleep well. The other day, we called our friends to borrow a fan.
They answered us, they didn’t have. We were shocked. Then we asked why there was no air condition.
They replied, in their house, they didn’t have either. So now we knew, it was not like Toronto. Everywhere has air condition.
Luckily, during our trip to Banff and Jasper, the weather was perfect. We had another family flying in july 15. They took the earliest airplane from Toronto and joined us in Calgary. Then we drove together
To Banff and Jasper. They didn’t book motel yet. They wanted to stay with us, the same motel which we already booked. The amazing thing was we never thought of the same trip before. The turn point was when our friend who drove us to airport and we asked when and where they would take vacation.
He replied that they planned to go back China, but the ticket was too high now and China was too hot. So they withdrew their plan. So now they had no plan and didn’t know where to go. So we suggested them to join us. I told him that I would send email about our schedule and trip. They could decide to come or not.
The next day, we got their confirmation that they would come and be with us. His son named Jason too.
Five months older than my son. They were friends before. So we were glad to have them join us.
Driving from Calgary to Banff takes 1.3 hours. When it closes to Banff, the view is beautiful. On the way, there is a small town: Canmore, which was filmed in many films. But we didn’t have time to visit.
When I was in Toronto to plan the trip, July suggested our trip was too tight. She said, around Banff, there were many places, lakes to visit. There were many beautiful trails to hike. Since we came Banff and jasper before, that time we were with a group tour. So this time we want to drive freely and stop wherever is beautiful. It seemed this decision was very good.

两家一起的好处是一路可以说说笑笑，可以轮流开，费用也可以节省很多。比如班夫JASPER国家公园门票是按天算，一个人10元，2-7个算一组共19元。我们回程时（July 17）是JASPER PARK day， 门票免费。镇上也有很多庆祝活动，所以我们顺路休息，停留了1个小时.
七月15日我们住班夫镇上。朋友去订了同一个旅馆，本来已经涨到159元，因为我们早订，他们和我们一起，就按我们的价位算。我们向旅店咨询了信息，因为镇上晚9时店铺关门，所以我们先开车去了 Bow river and Hot Springs Hotel. 停车免费。在HOTEL看了一些画展，照相，转到后山，走了trail, 看河景。然后再开去另一地方Canada Place看园景，再往前开坐缆车看整个班夫景色。 （surphure mountain） 各景点都很近，10分钟的车程。在山顶，很好看，天气也好。
回来后在小镇逛街，看水晶店的石头，在food court 吃了铁板饭。因为累了，饿了，吃得很香。
出来又随意逛逛，这时太阳西下，小镇更漂亮了。 旅店名：Arrow Motel， 给 我们每家两卧房套间。很舒服，干净。（109/night） 因为上次跟团游，太匆忙，所以没去温泉。这次就不放过，9点多，我们开去，10分钟的车程，停车后，看到很多人带着小孩，所以想我们并不晚，本来也是计划晚上来，放松一下，因为可以晚11关门。温泉在半山上，看上去更像游泳池，水温39度。
买门票（7.5加元/人）时，前面的人问，水是不是真的来自温泉？ 回答说，这个季节的是，水足够。
换上泳衣，泡到池里，很舒服。疲劳一下消去了。抬头一看，青山环绕，夜色渐浓，别样的回味。
我们自带了瓶装水，不时补充一下水分，山风吹在身上，凉，却很舒服。

从班夫一路开往jasper，一路都是风景。我是热情高涨，因为坐在第二排，两位男士坐第一排，但不时地提醒副驾摄影照相。（而我的位置效果靠后，被挡住了）。大家都笑我，一点不让人闲着，不开车了，就被指挥摄影。

说起照相，下车后，我总想留影一下，并且随时检查和总结照相效果。另一家笑了，说这样下去，老公技术不提高，也提高了。我也给他们照，照得好的，给他们看，他们也被带动起来照了不少。再上路时，他们开玩笑说，去玩，一定要带上你，起码照相的热情都提高了。

后来遇到熊，我让老公赶快录，看他只顾录熊了，我笑了，你也录录我们大家，见证人吗。

后来我们也都和熊一个个合影。。。（当然熊在山下，我们在半山腰。。。）

我们很幸运，还看看小熊在我们前面过马路，不过我们不敢下车。因为不远处肯定有熊妈妈，是很危险的。

其他的动物看到了羚羊，moose ，小鹿等。。。

而一路的山和湖很美。。。不过路上最好自带一箱水和食物等。。。。
