Literary Imagination

The literary imagination clubs the fact of a lived life over the head, slits its throat, then pulls forth the guts, and with bare hands tears its body into bloodied pieces.

With pieces of the fact scattered everywhere, the imagination is wading through them. Once the imagination is finished with a fact, it bears no resemblance to the fact of a lived life.

What do you think of it? What's your literary imagination?

You're a violent person whose literary imagination is the act of committing violence imaginatively.

The world of literature is a world where there is no reality except that of the human imagination.

Yes.

Giving a narrative to any life event is basically a fantasy created by the human mind to rationalize the unfocused contingency of the real world. The moment the telling of a story is ended; It is immediately made unrealistic. And, by the same rationale, the moment a story begins; it is also unlike real life.

Yes, well said.

For me,

Imagination is the door to amazement, taking us on a journey of the human spirit to help us see, understand, relate to reality that cannot be perceived directly through our senses.

Imagination is the stuff of writing. Without imagination, writers are in a barren land. Without imagination readers would have no reason to read. Imagination is the land of mystery, it is the mighty ocean of the mind, it is the vast expanse of infinity.
