Ok, my friends. Tell me should I consider myself
a Chinese-Canadian, or a Canadian Chinese?
Which one would not be a threat to our beloved Canada?
I write in English, speak in English, but I am made in China.
I won’t deny, my Chinese tattoo stands out in my poems.

Made in China, I hear the taunt.
Everything you have bought is made in China.
But why not make them yourself if “Cheaper” is the threat?
Don’t you know the laborers there cannot afford a decent lunch?

Of course, politicians lecture us, “No free lunch”!
Then why do they have a right to waste our tax money?
Why do they overspend and order bailouts
from our shallow pockets where we save up for our kids?
I don’t trust them. No. They even meddle with schools now,
Cut, cut and cut.

Which line is the shortest to grow wisdom and morals?
I see the hunger games start,
claws from deep pockets dig into teenagers.
So how soon should we expect our kids to demand guns and start shooting?

Don’t worry? You think I am exaggerating?
No. I am not.
I wish all these were not threats at all,
I do wish!

Count me as a threat,
if that can solve your problems.

I don't know what Hua Wei did in USA. But I heard the CBC radio interviewed the previous CEO? of Notel...

He blamed all the fall of Notel was because of Hua Wei. I think it is very silly.

Three years ago, at a poetry workshop, a lady wrote a poem to say China exploits Canada because all products in Canada are made in China. I think it is not proper to blam China only. There is no free lunch ever. The most profit are not earned by people in China, that I am sure.

Any way, there are a lot of problems in every country, So that is the poem for. not only for one concern, there are many.

I do hesitate to post this poem, then I think all my writing is for good... they are real concerns. We cannot ignore them.
