The night my chest shook,
I was reminded of dying.
The non-stop shaking horrified me.
I was not ready.

There must be many things left,
many thoughts left, many words left.
And I was shaking.

What do we call life and death?
I could not find the definition.
We think we have time to search...
and time to express...

freely...finally...

but I lied
like a blank sheet...
no bleeding...
no bleaching...

shaking and shattering

that was me, that wasn't
