It is delightful, I must say
to read a rain from the tree
no other tree but a Paulownia
the drops from yester seasons

Yes, I have seen it before
here it is in my curb again
as thoughts sink in
my heart regenerates

There is no rain actually
only fox ungloving petals
A timid kind of love is falling
on the soil of a foreign land

Hi Mark,

Thank you very much for this poem. It indeed extends my poem's meaning.

When I wrote the end of Rain poem, I wondered what kind of tree I could put there. I thought of Phoenix tree and especially liked its name which meant regenerating. I have lived in Nanjing for four years. There were many Phoenix trees. They have large leaves. In May, these were small petals drifting in the air... Now in your poem, all these come back...

Hi Mark,

Yes. Many friends bought this book and they like it very much.
I talked with some of them, I found different age group have different taking.
I think the ones who have more life experience and the one who enjoy literature are very glad to have this book and willing to open to the surprises it brought to them.

Hi Mark,

You know what I like to write poetry most?

The freedom to express and the fun to taste different life and thoughts.

After I wrote the poem "Toaster and Bread", I cannot stop laughing...

I like to play with words and images, and the wisdom and truth.

Toaster and Bread is certainly a brave one and clever one. But I didn't submit it to be published... I leave it to those who have my book. Smile
