How do you deal with the dealers? What should an artist know before approaching dealers? How do they know who to go to? What are art dealers looking for from their artists? The Director of the Art Dealers Association of Canada will be on hand to discuss with visual artists and crafts persons how to prepare themselves to submit exhibition proposals, inventory tracking and how to approach sales. The knowledge they need to have to be competitive and engaged in today’s commercial art market.

Book Launch: "Connecting Art to Stitch"
Organized by the Burlington Art Centre and Different Drummer Books
Sandra Meech will be introducing her latest book ‘Connecting Art to Stitch’ with a short talk highlighting the similarities between fine art practice and the many surface design, composition and sewing skills found in contemporary stitched textiles today. Sandra, originally from Burlington, and now living in the UK, is an international teacher, lecturer, exhibitor and author of books on creative quilting and embroidery.
