Call for Poems about Bicycling to Commemorate Ted Ho



Ted Ho served on the Mississauga Cycling Advisory Committee (MCAC) from 2002 to 2006 as a committed volunteer. He led numerous community rides, including large rides at the Bread and Honey and Southside Shuffle festivals, which introduced residents to Mississauga¢s trail network. He also worked tirelessly to promote cycling safety.

On May 6, 2006, Mr. Ho was involved in a fatal cycling accident. The City of Mississauga will further recognize Mr. Ho's contributions to cycling by opening the Ted Ho Trail in the on Sunday July 13th at 10 am at Zonta Meadows Park. This will be followed by a BBQ at Carolyn Parrish¢s home.



You are invited to attend this opening ceremony and read your poems about cycling. (Please let Cheryl know by July 4th if you intend to come.) This trail opening ceremony will also mark the launch of a call for poems about and related to cycling. The collection of poems will be published under a title to be determined. Further details will be forthcoming.
