My Panda house

Come to visit my Panda house,
Bend down knees and follow me.
Watch out twigs tickle as a mouse,
Walk with tiptoes like a dancing bee.

In the quiet place, my Panda house is,
with slim bamboos all in grace.
Three lovely pandas, each a whiz,
All sleep in peace and keep a safe space.

The giant one, the Mother is,
kind and tender, I call her, Pan-ma.
The naughtiest one has each quiz,
easy or tough, some just like blah..

The last one, Friendly and happy,
I must say, just like me.
Each has an character unique,
Each has many virtues to speak.

I bought them in China, a far place,
They all came with me and happily stay.
I build this fancy poem, their home to be,
I wish all for real and make a final plea.

All my excitement is gone when I find “Tall Ming” step out off the car with empty hands. I drag my mom’s sleeves, cannot not hold my disappointment, “What? Where is my Panda?” Mom seems to not hear me as we walk to “Tall Ming”. She is beamed with joy, “We are here, Ming Li.”
“Come, Tony. Come to meet Uncle Li.” Mom turns to me. I reluctantly move forward. “What’s up? Buddy?” Uncle Li pokes at my chin, and then winks his eyes, “Oh. I see. Tony, I did not forget my promise. But I think you need to wait with patience. This is a final wait. Tomorrow. Ok?” Uncle Li bents down his knees and pats my shoulder.
“Wait again, another day? I cannot believe!” I complain.
“As I said, patience pays a lot.” Uncle Li ignores my anger, laughs loudly.
“Ok. Ok. Tomorrow!” I stick out my little finger; Uncle Li smiles and hooks my little finger. “Deal!”
But on the way to home, I am still mad of “Tall Ming”, although he say tomorrow surely is a good deal and surprise to me. I wonder if it is another hook. “Oh, I could not wait…” “I need to do something. Maybe I should build a Panda house. A big and clean place. They all can stay together. They will love it.” I immediately like my idea and hurry to home.
As soon as I get home, I dashed upstairs. “Yes, three blankets, two soft mats. Three pods and what else? What else? “I look around and search for any objects fit to build my Panda house. Yes, flashlight, books, pillows… and I need to draw the bamboos, tape them around… and what else…Mom follows me and is curious about what I am doing, “No, you are not invited. It is a secret. No. I mean a surprise.” I immediately close the door. I hear Mom laugh outside. I shout, “It is not that funny. Stop laugh?” Then the laughing drops. I hear mom going downstairs. “Tomorrow we will all have surprises.”
