Asked what have you lost, answered “myself”
Asked what do want to find, answered “self”
-oneline
"The birth of the reader must be at the cost
of the death of the author"--Roland Barthes

Asked what do want to find |
Asked what do you want to find?

some pointers
1.
Asked what have you lost, answered “myself”
Asked what do want to find, answered “self”
-oneline
Dalai Lama’s book “Transforming the mind” English version (I read 4, 5 years ago) led me to the understanding of
ridding oneself of subjective-ness to achieve oneness with the world and hence finding self;
the two lines are about that in a different context, the subject (I or you) is missing in 2nd line, symbolize one has to loose oneself first in order to be found, and the found is the self without one's subjective being.
"
Technique-wise, 2nd line is left empty space after 破折号,against normal grammar, to symbolize 破折了空间,so the next two lines:
two different time-space divided and linked by a '/' and bang, think about that in a movie scene.
_________________ Sometimes I am busy

makes sense. wonder if the subject "you" in line one can be removed as well so there won't be the same question in line two

|
great, in the sense you see them as the same question, isn't it?
so, same thing in disguise, there is only transformation.
my intention was, first line had subject, and lost them through transformation. You, myself, same subject. _________________ Sometimes I am busy

it seems that each word, line, form has its own sensitivity, isn't that the truth?
Thanks a bunch!

Basically, this part could refer to Ernest Hemingway, the Chinese part is after his writing style; any one fascinated about death could also be. _________________ Sometimes I am busy
