Stocks moving in different directions
On our way to Fremont School District Art Exhibit
The AutoMall Expressway, jammed
4210, “what?” I saw it

So I said hello to Albert’s teachers
And his junior classmate, a quiet, shy girl
“This is your sculpture? My son. Wow”
Decided to rush back home to grab my digital

“I should have brought it with me, why…”
Stands at the first sight of the entrance hall
An abstract person in modern colors
A chosen guardian angel to remind the forgotten

And

I, how long have been gone

I went to my son’s school district art exhibit yesterday. He did not tell me his work was chosen as the most obvious display. I was happily surprised, but did not have a camera with me. So I drove back just to take camera, by myself. I lost the enthusiasms as I used to have when he was a first or second grader (he is in 7th grade now). As his sculpture guards and waits others, he wakes me up what I have lost; dawned on me like a guardian angel while I was alone in my car. I adopt Chinese way in this poem (i.e., no period or semi. at the end of lines and omit some verbs), to reveal this is written by a Chinese father.
