MISSISSAUGA, ON – Calling all artists! The Mississauga Arts Council (MAC) wants you to star at the next Media Arts Workshop: Acting for Film + TV, hosted by Actor/Director Walter Alza on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 7- 9 pm @ Laidlaw Gallery, Living Arts Centre (4141 Living Arts Drive). Discover what it takes to make it in the industry from an Award Winning Actor/Director/Writer/Producer & Acting Teacher! Take part in the Q&A session following the presentation. “Walter Alza is the changing face of television. He represents an emerging trend in Canadian programming.” (The Mississauga News).

An award winning actor, writer, director and producer--Walter Alza is an industry veteran and crafted character actor with a career spanning over 20 years and hundreds of hours on the big and small screen. His major roles include: the drama, Get Rich or Die Tryin with 50 Cent and Academy Award nominee director, Jim Sheridan and Terrance Howard (Iron Man); guest starring in the series, Flashpoint; and co-starring in the six time award winning film, Gangster Exchange. Catch him every night on the television show, Metropia.

Walter has earned hundreds of hours of screen time as well as more than 40 films, television and theatrical credits to his name. The actors he's coached have gone on to win awards at film festivals in Canada and the US, as well as appear in virtually every major TV series and films shot in Toronto. Walter has an extraordinary ability of bringing out the best performance from any actor.
