I was invited by George Elliott Clarke to read 1 poem by Robert Burns and some of my own work at The Beaches Public Library,
Queen Street E. Near Woodbine on January 23, Thursday,
2014, on a program with Ayesha Chatterjee and George Elliott Clarke and another poet. 6:30-8 p.m.

So I will choose to read this and my love poems as well....


Anna, Thy Charms

Anna, thy charms my bosom fire,
And waste my soul with care;
But ah! how bootless to admire,
When fated to despair!

Yet in thy presence, lovely Fair,
To hope may be forgiven;
For sure 'twere impious to despair
So much in sight of heaven.
