[星子]

in memory of Reddy The Cat

They told me you were drowned
Found in the foul murky bilge
Of an "improperly drained pool"
In some neglected backyard darness,
instead of the little girl* they hald expected.

Next day I came at dawn
To fish your leaden form,
That I had held so often,
From the filthy trap
That finally had fulfilled
The worst wish of the anti-feline framers:

"There must be a by-law".
No need for that.
The little lion is gone.

Terry asked me to read this poem to see if it is too much hiding reference beyond understanding.

There were 3 stories to refer here.

The Reddy cat was his cat. His neighbor once complained he should train it better, he replied " does it request in by-laws?"

Then the day when Cecilia Zhang was missing, the policemen searched a lot of place and came to his house to ask to take a look. He asked them if they saw a missing cat, they told him they found one drown in swimming pool. by law, the swimming pool should be drained for the comming winter.

but it didn't be drained properly. thus his cat got dead ironically by-laws.

Cecilia Zhang had a cat named Lucky...it is said a cat has nine lives. sadly Cecilia Zhang even hadn't one life because that night she died.

纪念小猫红红

他们告诉我,发现你淹死
在一个被不正当地抽干
的肮脏黑暗的游泳池底
在某一个被忽略的后院，
当他们期望在那里
找到小女孩时。

次日黎明我来到
污浊的池水旁,
捞取你沉重的尸体，
那是我经常举着的，
最后实现了那个对猫
反感者的最坏的心愿.
