When I enter the university, I stand on three points. They are yesterday, today and tomorrow. I miss my yesterday. I have a hope in tomorrow. And I work hard in today.

Yesterday Once More

We are the young. Maybe in our hearts we look forward to the wonderful future. But how about yesterday? When I look back on the good old days, memories are so happy that I wonder where they have gone. It is just like yesterday once more.

When I was a child, my brothers and sisters were still in China, in my hometown. In Spring Festival we got together, to talk, to play, to sing and to dance. We blessed each other, we hoped good luck would come to each other, we wished we would have a good new year.

We also had a happy time in the countryside where we walked through the glass and flowers. The spring’s sunshine was so bright and gentle that we felt we were the children of the sun. When the stars were blinking in the dark blue sky, we sat around to tell some mysterious stories and old fairy-tales.

Memories are so sweet but they have gone with the wind. As time passed by, things have changed. We are growing up. We have to say goodbye to the childhood and face our lives. My brothers and sisters have gone abroad to seek for their lives. They began their new lives in a far country, too far away to come back even though in Spring Festival. I missed them and felt sad very much. How I wondered where the happy life and time had gone!

But when I enter the university, I don’t wonder where they have gone any more, because I know we are growing up. We are not children any longer. We begin to think our lives and futures. Even though they come back we can’t come back to the life of yesterday.

Yesterday is yesterday. It won’t come back. But I still have today and tomorrow. Today is every minute and every second I have now. Yesterday just once more. We are looking forward to today and tomorrow.


Have you ever heard the old saying “Where there is a will, there is a way”? Here I want to say

Where there is a hope, there is a way

As you know, hope is very important in our lives. In our lives time, we may have pain and sorrow, but we know that there is always tomorrow. Tomorrow is a hope.

When I was young, my family was very poor. We have a hard time during those days. Through my childhood memories are so sad that I won’t want to recall.

But even in those days, we all have hopes. Hope tomorrow will be better. Hope life will be better. Hope situation will be better. And all these hopes are based on my mothers hope. It is my mother who raised our hopes in miserable days.

She hadn’t told us something about life or hope, and she didn’t know much about hope or life, but she made us believe where there is a hope there is a way by her smile in front of difficulty and her good mood in bad situation. She face the cruel reality with strong will, smiling in tears and believing in tomorrow.

Now we have gotten through thick and thin. Our life quality has been improved. Those days have gone with the wind. But from those days, we learn to believe in tomorrow.

Today life may be not as ideal as I want to, but there is always tomorrow. Tomorrow is a hope. Tomorrow is another day. Believe in tomorrow and live in today.

Now I leave my mother to face my life by myself. I meet many difficulties in the society. I feel unhappy and depressed sometimes. I lose heart after failures. But I tell myself there is always tomorrow. Tomorrow will be better. I face everything with smile and strong will, even though it is rain or storm.

I believe where there is a hope there is a way. My mother has given this precious present to me, and it is the most important one in my life.


Yesterday is in the past. Tomorrow is in the future. The most important one is every second you own today.

Work hard and you will success

When I was still in the middle school, my English teacher always told us: “Work hard and you will success.” So I learn to work hard today.

At one time I lived in the past. At one time I lived in the future. But since my teacher told us this sentence, I live in today. Work hard today and success in tomorrow.

Though I have entered the university, I know I need to work hard. Many college students relax themselves after they come to university. I tell myself I can’t spend any time on worthless things.

Now with my parents’ hope and wish, I miss yesterday, I have a hope in tomorrow, and most of all I work hard today. This is my wish.
