Sunflower Dream


I stood alone in a dream
my back to copper rays of light
folding behind shadowed hills
under the racing clouds of a darkening sky

behind me, forever fields of sunflowers swayed
the benevolent faces of a million sun gods
black seeds encircled with yellow petal coronas
warm, sensual life auras
calling me back from darkness
my gaze lost for too long
in the crystal ball of a divining sky
my body
a dot
on the never ending road
of another country

She always tell me how beautiful my poems are, we are kind related.

She told me not to change some words because of other people's critiques. " You have your way and it is beautiful. I can see and feel."

She won an award this year for poetry. Congrats.
