Jane clicked the link and opened Suzy’s blog. There, on her cover page, Suzy’s naked picture was stunningly beautiful and shining. Usually Jane wouldn’t be surprised to see naked bodies online. But seeing her best girl friend nude in public and watched by many others made Jane shock. Jane turned her head away and felt her heavy breath.
Over the phone, Suzy was smiling. She admitted her boldness but she didn’t care that tons of mean responses post to her. Suzy viewed them as the evidence of their envy of her nude beauty. Suzy insisted, ” Just think in this way, Jane. in the beginning of life, everyone is naked, so why now we all put on masks and clothes? Nasty thoughts will always be nasty, it doesn’t matter if it put on clothes or not. I don’t care the judgment from others, but I do care the judgment from you. HEI, you like it?”
Jane didn’t reply.
That night, in front of a mirror, Jane carefully examined her own naked body which she was shy of the imperfection. She wondered whether she had the desire to show it if hers was as beautiful as Suzy’s. She believes all beauty share the same great deal of need of appreciation. Some show them with clothes, others without. There are many famous oil paintings with nude bodies. Some of them Jane had many times puzzled on. Jane wanted to ask her European friends to explain why the painter painted the women with bare breasts , especially in the war scenes.
And now Jane’s best friend’s bare body was on the blog in public, what is behind? Jane kept asking herself.
In modern life, people go crazy about self identity no matter if it is negative or positive. Jane shook her head. In the reality, everyone is showing something: wealth, wisdom, power, beauty and even nude. Suzy was crazy.
