本片是一部浪漫爱情电影。卡西蒂，德克萨斯州著名的女商人，美丽而富有。一天，她飞到法国准备收购一家巧克力工厂，谁知，在法国达成的协议比巧克力还甜。原来，在法国机场，原本该接卡西蒂的人阴差阳错没接到，而巧克力厂主赫伯特爵士的私人司机，英俊的艾里克却刚好在那里，与卡西蒂一见钟情。但没多久他们就发现了彼此的真实身份：地位的悬殊，再加上卡西蒂误以为艾里克是赫伯特爵士派来卖工厂的说客，两人的关系一时陷入了僵局。但爱情的力量最终使他们冲破了重重阻力，卡西蒂不但买下了巧克力工厂，而且保留了所有原来的员工，与艾里克过上了比巧克力还甜蜜的幸福生活。

BJ is a rich Texas entrepreneur with an interest in investing abroad. Her sites are set on owning a small chocolate truffle factory in France. Jetting off to the candy-making town, BJ meets an attractive man, Eric , at the French airport and spends the rest of the day with him. As it turns out, he is the chauffeur and confidante of the chocolate factory's owner but, he does not disclose this information to her. Will BJ be able to buy the factory and will she still be attracted to Eric when she learns the truth?
