Today's workshop

Elka is a very good person, a good organizer.
Each time she will set a theme for our next meeting.
Each meeting will start with the according topic, every one takes his turn.
Then we do poetry reading and sharing. Interesting thing is most of us are women.
This afternoon we share the topic about personal journey of beginning poetry. We start to know each other more and know the value and the purpose of poetry is not only for ourselves, but also for others.
It is amazing to see how similar we are, both in western world and in orient culture.
Poet used to be a very elegant role in the society, but now it is devalued. People think poets are insane.
But Elka is very strong and tough too. She calls upon us to admit us poet and be proud.
She managed to ask the mayor to sign the paper to support the poets group and events.
Thus this year we will have full local events for poetry month. And we will have poetry workshop for all levels to promote poetry and attract local residents.
Each time after the meeting, I always feel my passion refilled. It always lets me keep going.
I will sign up for the two free workshops soon and help to support their work.
