Reading the Glass Castle

You marvel how life turns
on the pages.
You wonder
how you can reach
a man’s dream while it
floating on the river of time,
though the strings between his promises were broken
and buried among barren deserts and wild alcohol.
Gold and hope were under the touch
of fragile unforeseen wind,
his grasp was full of thorny invalid.
Behind his shadows,
his family were tolerated all,
with deep love and compassion
toward his glass vision.
You know the glass breaks in our daily life,
Nobody cares no trace of any dream.
You admire the man for his pursuit,
and take the torch of his passion,
you know night falls soon.
