While Reading Poe's The Raven

You hear it,
and I hear soon after.
you are in your weary ponder;
I am in my sleepless mess.
A tap at the door,
the silken sad uncertain rustling thrills you,
you swing the door open;
the moon steps back,
I turn the page.
A tap at the window lattice.
The silence was unbroken,
and the darkness gave no token.
You fling the shutter,
I listen to your soul, restless.
Nevermore.
The raven fades into shadows.
