主讲人简介:

Xu Wenxin is an entering first-year student at Harvard Medical School. He studied Chemical and Physical Biology at Harvard University, where he holds a B.A. degree with highest honors, with a research thesis concerning the evolutionary biology of drug resistance in malaria. His part-time work has included developing technology-based teaching tools for courses at Harvard. Wenxin is also a volunteer CPR instructor, and was a director of the Chinatown ESL and Wushu programs at Harvard College.

Min Jie is a first-year medical student at the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, McMaster University. Born in Beijing and raised in Singapore, she pursued undergraduate studies in the Department of Immunology at the University of Toronto. She was actively involved in research studies on developmental immunology, completing two summer studentships at Sunnybrook Research Institute under the guidance of Dr. Michele Anderson. She also spent 2 years working for Dr. Xi Chen-Bumgardner's research project on bilingual literacy development, for which she received the University of Toronto Excellence Award in Social Science and Humanities. She enjoys many non-academic pursuits including piano, art and craftwork, cooking, and table tennis.
