To get in good American Universities like Princeton and Yale, would it be better to do more extracurricular activities or have good results in Math/Science comepetitions? I don't know which one I should spend more time on.

Sorry I missed your post for a while. There are many factors for admission officers to assess your application. Theoritically, a well-rounded student has more chance to be accepted. However, some shools pays more tention on student's geniusness than others. For exmaple, if you are national or international winner of a science competition, you may take a significant advantage on MIT's application. However, Harvard might consider that it is just one piece of their criteria.

Practically, you may spend more time on whatever may make you stand out. But you still need to blance your efforts on academic and extracurricular activities.
