圣诞节

When snow is shaken
From the balsam trees
And they're cut down
And brought into our houses

当雪从冷杉树
上抖落
树被砍倒
带进房子里

When clustered sparks
Of many-colored fire
Appear at night
In ordinary windows

当一簇簇火花

We hear and sing
The customary carols

《父亲的告别词》，一种真实，赤裸裸的震撼！马上让我联想到一首英诗，大意如下：

父亲的左手
大卫. 波特姆斯

有时老人的手在膝盖上方打颤，扑扇
着怪圈，而后落回腿上。

有时它一小时都靠在那瘦骨嶙嶙的关节上。

有时当老人试图讲话时，他的手在空中
前后摆动，搜寻一个词，然后又栖息于

助步车的横杆或椅子的把手上。

有时当傍晚关上窗，雨黑成窗台上的冰，
他的手哆嗦着如同暴风雨中的一只麻雀。

后来天全黑了，手抖得越来越轻，直到静止。

I don't really care what specific writing instrument is used. It is the reason why Li Po put down his pen that interests the reader. And I am glad to read the different thought in this poem other than the generally accepted interpretation by the public.
